Students in Middle School saw the need for a student-run newspaper. They convinced Mr. Munro to oversee the after school activity and have been working hard since January to put together the first edition. These twelve students take on different roles such as editor, researchers, photographers, cartoonists and of course, writers. Please enjoy reading.

The Student Council will be hosting the Fall Festival this year on Saturday, October 28th from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the DAIS Gym. Everyone is invited, so dig out your favorite costume and plan to join us for some Halloween fun. Admission fee is 2000 Tenge. The Fall Festival is open to children of all ages. Trick or Treating will follow the Fall Festival beginning at 6:30pm and will end at 8:00 pm.
As an added bonus to our Student Council game booths, a group of parents have offered to organize a bouncy castle, maze challenge and additional Halloween activities for children PreK-Grade 2 in the Gym. After the Festival, students in grades 3-8 will have the opportunity to make their way through a Haunted Dostyk House, if they dare. The Haunted House, which will be set up in a separate location is being planned and overseen by parents. The Haunted House invites students from grade 3-5 between 6:00-6:30pm and grade 6-8 students from 6:30 –7:00pm. We wonder who will have more fun, the organizers or the participants?
Finally, if you would like to participate and have children Trick-or-Treat at your house, please place a pumpkin in your GARAGE window and leave a light on. You can find copies of the pumpkin at the Liaison Desk.
This weekend students will be participating in the Amazing Race. Please come out and show your support. The race begins at 1:30PM on the field, Saturday, April 29, 2017.
